The traveling concert series bringing world-class music to the villages of the Alessandria province.
La Via della Musica is a concert series that visits various municipalities in the Alessandria province of Piedmont each year, transforming churches, historic halls, and auditoriums in small villages into concert venues. In Rivarone, a town of just under four hundred residents overlooking the Tanaro plain, the event takes place at the Salone dei Ciliegi and has become one of the most anticipated cultural highlights of the local calendar.
The hallmark of the series is the intersection of different artistic languages: alongside live music, there is space for impromptu painting, theatrical performances, and interactive moments designed to engage the audience, such as listening games and QR codes that provide deeper insights into the pieces and composers. The programs range from operatic repertoires to chamber music, and from cinematic melodies to beloved arias, in a journey designed to introduce classical music to those who do not typically frequent concert halls.
The series features musicians active both locally and nationally. Recurring performers include harpist Michela Maggiolo, tenor Vittorio Dante Ceragioli, and pianist Ivana Zincone, joined from time to time by violinists, piano duos, and young students from music high schools, who bring highly refined chamber ensembles to the stage.
La Via della Musica is promoted by the Artemusica Cultural Association in collaboration with the Stabilimento delle Arti of Alessandria and the host municipalities, with the patronage of the Province of Alessandria and the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria. This formula creates a local network that allows for free admission to all concerts.
The fifth edition of La Via della Musica brought a highly evocative event to Rivarone, in the province of Alessandria. On Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 5:00 PM, the Salone dei Ciliegi hosted the duo formed by tenor Vittorio Dante Ceragioli and harpist Michela Maggiolo, well-known performers in both artistic and educational circles at the local and national levels.
The program, titled Once Upon a Time, featured famous melodies from the world of cinema, classical music pieces, and universally loved songs, in a journey ranging from operatic repertoire to chamber music and meditative arias. The initiative, organized by Artemusica with the Stabilimento delle Arti and the host municipalities, was held with free admission until capacity was reached.
Program: Once Upon a Time โ famous melodies from the world of cinema, classical music pieces, and beloved songs, spanning operatic repertoire, chamber music, and meditative arias.
The fifth edition of the series also visited other municipalities in the Alessandria province, including Quargnento (Sunday, March 29, Auditorium Trinitร , with a piano duo and a program dedicated to the world of childhood) and other local areas.
