Holidays in the City
La Spezia Christmas City is the major Christmas events program for the Ligurian capital. Promoted by the Municipality of La Spezia, it brings together about a hundred appointments spread throughout the holiday season, from early December until January 6th, animating squares, streets, and cultural venues.
Markets, Lights, and Skating
The city center lights up with Christmas lights and fills with Christmas markets, while the ice skating rink attracts both young and old. Santa Claus meets children in Piazza Europa, amidst shows, music, and family-oriented activities.
Culture and Entertainment for All
The program includes dozens of museum activities with workshops and exhibitions, the Civic Theater season, concerts, and the TRAC Festival of contemporary circus under the PIN big top. With free park-and-ride facilities and shuttle service, La Spezia confirms itself as a welcoming and lively city to experience Christmas.

For the 2026-2027 holidays, the Municipality of La Spezia will again present the La Spezia Christmas City program, with about a hundred events spread throughout the city center from early December until January 6th.
The traditional elements of La Spezia's Christmas are confirmed: markets, lights, an ice skating rink, concerts, shows, exhibitions, and family activities. The detailed program will be communicated in the weeks before the start of the holidays.
