About La Puglia che ti piglia

La Puglia che ti piglia is the travelling festival that brings the flavours, music, and traditions of Puglia to Gorizia. Piazza della Vittoria transforms into a Southern village, with trulli, olive trees, and lights, featuring panzerotti, bombette, focaccia, Pugliese sweets and beers, cooking shows, and the overwhelming rhythms of pizzica. Free admission.

The South arrives in Gorizia

La Puglia che ti piglia is the travelling village that, for a few days, transforms Piazza della Vittoria in Gorizia into a corner of Puglia. Set up with trulli, ancient olive trees, and characteristic Southern lights, the square is immersed in a warm and festive atmosphere, capable of transporting visitors through the scents and colours of the Pugliese land without leaving the heart of the city of Gorizia.

Flavours of Pugliese tradition

The absolute protagonist is gastronomy: the best Pugliese street chefs offer panzerotti, bombette, focaccia, typical sweets, and sweet and savoury street food specialities, accompanied by a selection of Pugliese wines and craft beers. There are also stands with local products and cooking shows, to discover the secrets of one of Italy's most beloved cuisines, to be enjoyed in the dedicated area with tables and seating.

Pizzica and the rhythms of Salento

Alongside the food, the festival is a triumph of music and folk dances. The evenings are enlivened by live performances of pizzica and tambourine, while free workshops are organized for the public to learn the steps of the Salento dance, open to all ages. The square thus fills with rhythm, energy, and the desire to be together.

A festival for everyone

Promoted with the patronage of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Municipality of Gorizia, and Pugliese associations, La Puglia che ti piglia has free admission and is designed for families, young people, and the curious. An opportunity to taste, dance, and be won over by the warmth of the South, in one of Gorizia's most beautiful squares.
