Two evenings of world cuisines in the historic center of Jesi
Jesi Food Fusion is the event that, for two consecutive evenings, enlivens the historic center of Jesi, in the province of Ancona, in the heart of the Vallesina region of Marche. The idea is simple and contagious: to transform the streets and venues of the city into a widespread taste laboratory, where the cuisines of the world meet and blend with Italian tradition. For one evening, you can taste a dish that combines Japan and Mexico, or move from a table that tells the story of Peru and Argentina to another that mixes Italy and Lebanon.
The event is organized by CNA Ancona and is part of the broader "Food Fusion" project promoted by CNA Agroalimentare, which brings the same format to various cities in the province — in addition to Jesi, also Osimo, Fabriano, and the Pesaro area. The objective is twofold: to encourage restaurateurs to experiment with new market trends and to offer the public a convivial and curious experience, capable of enhancing both the creativity of the chefs and the attractiveness of the city center.
The protagonists of the event are the ten participating venues in Corso Matteotti, each tasked with creating a special menu inspired by the combination of two or more culinary traditions. Not a single restaurant, but an urban route: visitors move from one venue to another, choosing the offerings that pique their curiosity the most, in an informal atmosphere that blends the aperitif formula with ethnic dining.
More than just a gastronomic review, Jesi Food Fusion aims to be a small manifesto of openness: cuisine as a universal language and an occasion for dialogue between peoples. The "contaminations" between Italy and Gambia, between Thailand and Vietnam, between China and Turkey are not just a play on flavors, but the way Jesi restaurateurs tell the story of a vibrant and welcoming territory. The initiative also contributes to revitalizing the evening life of the historic center of Jesi, one of the most important art cities in the Marche region, home to Frederick II of Swabia and composer Giovan Battista Pergolesi.
The second edition of Jesi Food Fusion took place on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM, in the historic center of Jesi along Corso Matteotti. For two evenings, the city transformed into a journey of taste, with ten venues featuring as many menus inspired by the fusion of different cuisines.
The event, organized by CNA Ancona, is part of the provincial "Food Fusion" format which also included Osimo, Fabriano, and the Pesaro area. Marco Silvi, a CNA union representative, described the event as "open," dedicated to innovative culinary fusion and cultural exchange.
