The monthly vintage and antiques market in the heart of Ancona
Curiosando is one of the longest-running and most beloved antique and vintage markets in the capital of the Marche region. Founded in 1997 in Piazza del Papa, it has become part of the life of Ancona's residents: each edition transforms the city center into a large open-air space for browsing rare objects, memories of the past, and designer creations. The event is held almost every month (with a summer break in June, July, and August) and moves between the two main locations in the center, Piazza Cavour and Viale della Vittoria, in the Municipality of Ancona.
About eighty specialized exhibitors offer everything that can fascinate an antique and modernism enthusiast. Walking along the stalls, you will find:
The care in selecting the merchandise and the variety of offerings have made Curiosando a reference point for collectors, curious individuals, and simple enthusiasts over the years, attracting thousands of visitors to each event.
The formula of a widespread market allows you to combine antique shopping with a stroll through the heart of Ancona, among the cafes, shops, and views of the center. Piazza Cavour, with its statue of Cavour and gardens, and the elegant Viale della Vittoria descending towards the Passetto, offer a pleasant setting, especially on spring and autumn Sundays.
More than just an exchange fair, Curiosando is a small collective ritual that accompanies the city's seasons: from the first mild spring days to the December events, close to the Christmas spirit. For those visiting Ancona and the Marche Region, it is also an authentic way to connect with local life, away from the more touristy circuits. Admission is always free.
The 2026 calendar for Curiosando in Ancona confirms the formula of a widespread market, with events spread between spring and the end of the year and the usual summer break (June-August). The dates take place between Piazza Cavour and Viale della Vittoria.
In each edition, you will find antique and industrial furniture, vinyl records, rare books, vintage toys, numismatics, vintage clothing, and artistic crafts. Free admission.
The market does not include a program of shows, but a series of days dedicated to the buying and selling and exhibition of vintage items, antiques, and crafts. Among the confirmed 2026 dates: April 25-26 and September 26-27 and October 24-25 in Piazza Cavour; May 23-24, November 28-29, and December 12-13 in Viale della Vittoria.
The market is held in the center of Ancona, alternating between Piazza Cavour and Viale della Vittoria. Both locations are easily reachable on foot from the city center.
By train: from Ancona Centrale station, Piazza Cavour is about a 20-25 minute walk or a few minutes by city bus. By car: exit Ancona Nord or Ancona Sud from the A14 highway, then follow signs for the center; paid parking is available nearby.
The events usually take place on Saturdays and Sundays, approximately from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (on some dates, Saturday opening is in the afternoon). Free admission.
