Music, art, and theatre in the village of Bussi sul Tirino
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Jamm! Festival is a summer cultural event held in Bussi sul Tirino, a small town in the province of Pescara, in the heart of inland Abruzzo. The festival weaves together live music, visual arts, and theatre with the aim of revitalizing the village's historic centre through culture and highlighting the reconstruction efforts in small Abruzzo towns marked by the 2009 earthquake.
The name stems from a play on words between the English jam sessionโa collective musical improvisationโand the local dialect term jamm, which means "let's go": an invitation to set off towards the village and foster encounters between artists, the audience, and the local area.
Each edition offers a blend of artistic languages that engage with the village's spaces. The audience can enjoy:
Over the years, the event has been held both in the historic centre and at the Parco degli Alberetti, just outside the old village, a green setting that hosts the stage and installations.
The festival is promoted by the Pi-Greco Cultural Association, chaired by Pino De Dominicis, with artistic direction by Carmine Bucci, known as "Cocรฒ da Chicago". The underlying idea is to create a meeting point for artists, the public, and the territory through performances capable of integrating with the natural and architectural scenery of Bussi sul Tirino.
Usually scheduled for the first few days of August, the Jamm! Festival has quickly become a small reference point for those seeking quality cultural offerings in the Pescara hinterland, far from the most beaten tourist paths. It is an opportunity to discover an authentic Abruzzo village and enjoy evenings where music, art, and theatre mingle among the town's ancient stones.
Following the 2024 and 2025 editions, the Jamm! Festival is expected to return to animate the village of Bussi sul Tirino, in the province of Pescara. At the moment, the official dates and the programme for the 2026 edition have not yet been released by the Pi-Greco Cultural Association. The festival traditionally takes place in the first few days of August, with concerts, photography exhibitions, art installations, and theatrical readings.
