The national youth beach volleyball leg on the Silver Beach of Alba Adriatica
Every summer, the Spiaggia d'Argento in Alba Adriatica, on the coast of the Teramo province in Abruzzo, becomes the stage for one of the most anticipated legs of the Italian Youth Beach Volleyball Championship. At the Take Over Beach Arena, set up next to the Al Faro beach club, the best young talents of Italian beach volleyball compete for the points that count towards access to the national final stages.
The event brings together male and female youth categories, featuring Under 14 and Under 18 athletes. The pairs arrive from every region of Italy, ensuring a high technical level and an atmosphere of healthy competition. Matches start at 9:00 AM and continue throughout the day on a facility consisting of a central court and four secondary courts, which allow for a rich schedule of games.
The Alba Adriatica leg is organized by Beach Sport in collaboration with Pallavolo Alba Adriatica and FIPAV Abruzzo, with the patronage of the Sports Department of the Municipality of Alba Adriatica. Beyond the sporting dimension, the event represents an important driver for tourism on the Teramo coast: between athletes, coaches, referees, chaperones, and families, the event attracts several hundred people to the Spiaggia d'Argento, with significant benefits for the local economy.
The town has now established itself as a national benchmark for beach volleyball and sports practiced on the sand. The same arena hosts other events throughout the season, from beach rugby to beach soccer, confirming Alba Adriatica's vocation for hosting major outdoor events on the Adriatic shore. The combination of the sea, the summer climate, and the hospitality of the Municipality makes this leg an appointment appreciated by both athletes and families on vacation.
Watching the matches is free and suitable for an audience of all ages: children and teenagers can get closer to a spectacular and dynamic discipline, while fans can follow the challenges of the future stars of Italian beach volleyball up close. The atmosphere is that typical of Adriatic summers, with sun, sand, and the team spirit that animates every match.
