About Reining Futurity
The European heart of reining
The Reining Futurity & Italian Championship, organised by IRHA in collaboration with NRHA and IRHBA, is the most important European event dedicated to reining, the spectacular discipline of Western riding. Hosted at CremonaFiere, in Cremona, it brings together the best horses and riders from the continent every autumn, confirming the Lombard city as the European capital of the discipline.
Futurities and Italian Championships
The heart of the event are the Futurities, competitions for 3 and 4-year-old horses, and the finals of the Absolute Italian Reining Championships. The CremonaFiere arenas host top-level competitions for over a week, with some of the richest prize money in Europe and the participation of internationally renowned pairs, in an intense and highly spectacular competitive programme.
Not just reining
The event also features the NCHA European Cutting Futurity alongside the reining competitions, with a dedicated arena and over 150 expected entries, and a major country dance event in a dedicated pavilion, highly popular with the public. Exhibitions, shows, and commercial areas complete an offering that combines sport, entertainment, and Western culture.

Reining Futurity — edition 2026
The 42nd edition of the IRHA-IRHBA-NRHA Reining Futurity & Italian Championship will be held from November 4th to 14th, 2026, at CremonaFiere, with $700,000 in added prize money. It is the most important European reining event, featuring the best arenas and pairs on the continent.
In addition to the Futurities for 3 and 4-year-old horses and the finals of the Absolute Italian Reining Championships, the event hosts the NCHA European Cutting Futurity, with a dedicated arena and over 150 expected entries. Due to popular demand, a major country dance event will also return in a dedicated pavilion at the exhibition centre.
