Music, art, and culture in Peppino Impastato Park, Marzabotto
INTRO Festival is a music, art, and culture event that enlivens the Peppino Impastato Park in Marzabotto, a municipality in the Bolognese Apennines in Emilia-Romagna, in the province of Bologna. Born as a preview in 2024 and growing to its first full edition in September 2025, the festival offers three days that weave together concerts, DJ sets, live performances, and activities spread throughout nature.
The artistic program unfolds across multiple stages and primarily explores the contemporary Italian electronic and indie scene, from afternoon until late at night. Alongside the music, there are thematic talks, workshops, an independent market for creatives and artisans, relaxation areas, and a gastronomic selection curated by local businesses.
The festival takes place outdoors in Peppino Impastato Park, a green space in the heart of Marzabotto, a town known for its historical significance related to the Resistance. The natural setting is an integral part of the experience: INTRO invites visitors to slow down, connect, and express themselves, transforming the park into a place for sharing music, art, and social interaction.
INTRO took its first steps with a preview in 2024, then established itself with its first full edition in September 2025, which attracted a large audience and over thirty artists and collectives. For 2026, the organization has decided to move the event to late June to take advantage of the longer days and summer light, confirming the multi-stage format and the focus on musical quality and cultural and participatory dimensions.
The event is organized by the Associazione MarzaNotte A.P.S., based in Marzabotto, and enjoys the support and patronage of the local territory. Entry to the festival is free, and the activities are designed for a wide audience, from young people to families.
