An Italian art masterpiece on display in Vimercate
La Grande Arte in Brianza is a cultural project that every year brings a masterpiece work from Italian art history to the heart of Brianza, exhibiting it free of charge to the public. For 2026, its fourth edition, the exhibition has chosen the MUST – Museo del Territorio in Vimercate, a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza, as its venue.
The initiative was born within the cultural sphere of the Fondazione Costruiamo il Futuro ETS with the aim of bringing Italian art masterpieces closer to the general public, transforming each edition into an opportunity for participation, education, and rediscovery of the territory. Previous editions have brought works of absolute importance to Brianza: Marco d'Oggiono's «Madonna del Latte» (Oggiono, 2023), Caravaggio's «Narcissus» (Merate, 2024, with 45,000 visitors), and Titian's «Venus Binding Cupid» (Carate Brianza, 2025, with 25,000 visitors).
The arrival of the exhibition at the MUST is a recognition for Vimercate and its museum. The artwork that will be exhibited and the programme of side events will be announced in the months preceding the exhibition; the display is scheduled for the latter part of the year, between October and December 2026.
