Christmas in the city of the Lemene

Every winter, the historic center of Portogruaro, in the Province of Venice, transforms into a large Christmas village with Il Porto... di Natale. For about a month, from the pre-Christmas weeks until Epiphany, the squares and streets of the "little Venice" of Eastern Veneto fill with lights, scents, and initiatives for all ages.

The Christmas chalets and squares

The heart of the event are the sixteen wooden chalets. In Piazza della Repubblica, street food and a stage with continuous events are concentrated, while Piazzetta della Pescheria becomes the kingdom of the little ones, with Santa Claus's house, elves, and artisan shops. Among the offerings, there is also the "Paese di Cioccolato" (Chocolate Town), designed for those with a sweet tooth.

Over a hundred events in a month

The program includes over a hundred initiatives: live music, shows, creative workshops, and entertainment that follow one another day after day. Among the events that mark the calendar are the inauguration of the nativity scene, the arrival of Santa Claus, and a continuous series of activities dedicated to children and families.

From the nativity scene to New Year's Eve in the square

Promoted by the Municipality of Portogruaro with the Pro Loco and local organizations, the event accompanies the city throughout the holiday season, culminating in the grand finale of New Year's Eve in the square and the Epiphany celebrations, in a festive atmosphere that attracts residents and visitors from all over Eastern Veneto.
