The festival that opens the adventouring season

Every spring, Bobbio, a splendid medieval village in the Trebbia Valley in the Province of Piacenza (Emilia-Romagna), hosts the HAT Adventourfest, recognized as the leading Italian festival dedicated to the world of adventure motorcycles. The event, organized by HATVENTURE Srl as part of the HAT Series, was born from the idea of bringing together the largest number of motorcycle manufacturers in a prestigious tourist location, offering enthusiasts the chance to test the latest models for free on the winding roads and scenic routes of the Apennines.

The HAT Village in Piazza XXV Aprile

The pulsating heart of the event is the HAT Village, set up in the central Piazza XXV Aprile in Bobbio, with free admission. From 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the village becomes the meeting point for enthusiasts: here you'll find the stands of motorcycle brands, over thirty exhibitors of clothing, accessories, and services, and the registration desk for test rides. Brands like BMW Motorrad, Yamaha, Ducati, Triumph, Kawasaki, MV Agusta, Moto Morini, Voge, and CFMOTO bring over a hundred motorcycles to the square for on-road testing.

Test rides, Boot Camp, and guided tours

The Adventourfest format is based on three pillars. Free test rides allow you to get on the adventure models from the participating brands and test them on the roads of the Trebbia Valley. The HAT Boot Camp features talks by professional riders and motorcycle travellers returning from the Dakar and major rallies, who share their experiences and techniques with the audience. The Tour Bobbio Adventourfest, finally, is a guided tour of about 120 km on medium-to-easy difficulty mountain roads, exploring the villages and passes of the Apennines between Emilia-Romagna, Liguria, Piedmont, and Lombardy.

The choice of Bobbio is no coincidence: the village, famous for its Ponte Gobbo (Hunchback Bridge) and the Abbey of San Colombano, is surrounded by some of the most beloved roads by Italian motorcyclists. The Trebbia Valley, described by Ernest Hemingway as one of the most beautiful valleys in the world, offers winding roads, bridges, and vistas that provide the ideal backdrop for a festival created for those who love travelling by motorcycle. The Municipality of Bobbio supports the event with its patronage, recognizing its tourism value for the entire valley.

In addition to test rides and tours, the Adventourfest is an opportunity for the adventouring community to connect, with the presence of special guests such as Dakar riders and personalities from the world of motorcycle travel. Free entry to the HAT Village makes the event accessible even to families and the simply curious, who can stroll among the stands and soak up the atmosphere of a true adventure motorcycle celebration.
