A festival of hospitality in the heart of Valle del Chiese

The Guest Festival (Festa dell'Ospite) is the event through which the municipality of Castel Condino, a small village in the Giudicarie Valleys in the province of Trento, celebrates the spirit of hospitality that defines the Valle del Chiese every summer. As the name suggests, the festival is dedicated to the guest: the vacationers and visitors who choose this peaceful corner of Trentino-Alto Adige for a summer getaway in touch with alpine nature. The Castel Condino Pro Loco transforms Piazza Rì into the village's open-air living room, with long tables, lights, and music accompanying the evening.

Aperitifs, rustic dinners, and live music

The heart of the Guest Festival is conviviality and gastronomy. The evening begins with an aperitif and continues with a rustic dinner prepared by Pro Loco volunteers, serving up traditional Trentino specialties and authentic mountain flavors. The soundtrack is provided by live music, which over the years has featured performances by the band Tecazado, known for keeping the crowd entertained until late. The informal, family-friendly format is typical of Trentino village festivals, where hospitality is not just a service, but a way of being together.

Castel Condino, a hidden gem of the Giudicarie

Castel Condino is a village of ancient origins, nestled between the valley floor and the Boniprati plateau in the Giudicarie Valleys. Archaeological finds of Roman-era tombs and coins, along with the Church of San Giorgio dating back to 1283, bear witness to its centuries-long history. Hiking trails wind around the village toward mountain huts and peaks, from Monte Melino to Cima Pissola. It is in this mountain setting, between tradition and nature, that the Guest Festival finds its most authentic meaning: a community moment that unites residents and tourists through the values of hospitality.

A Pro Loco event

The event is entirely managed by the Pro Loco of Castel Condino, a key reference point for the village's social life and traditions. Participation in the dinner generally requires booking with the association's volunteers to ensure the best possible organization. The Guest Festival remains one of the most cherished summer events in the calendar of Castel Condino and the Valle del Chiese.
