The GT3 motorsport weekend at Misano World Circuit ignites with the electronic music festival in the paddock
The GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS returns to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from July 17th to 19th, 2026, bringing one of the most spectacular rounds of the endurance and sprint championship for GT3 cars to the heart of the Romagna Riviera. On the Misano Adriatico circuit, in the province of Rimini (Emilia-Romagna), some of the most coveted cars on the international scene will compete: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, McLaren, Aston Martin, Audi, and BMW, driven by professional drivers and gentlemen drivers from all over Europe.
The major new feature of this edition is Elektronfest, the electronic music festival that will transform the circuit's paddock into an open-air sound "circuit" on Saturday, July 18th. Conceived by Gianluca Laurenzi, Alessandro Deledda, and Vincenzo Cerquiglini, the event celebrates the excellence of the Italian electronic scene and, for the first time, pairs the speed of racing with the rhythm of DJ sets.
One of the most captivating features of the Misano round is the Sprint Cup race, which takes place at sunset and continues after dark, with the GT3 cars illuminated by the track's floodlights. In 2025, this evening race saw a memorable victory for Valentino Rossi and Raffaele Marciello at the wheel of the number 46 BMW, in front of a huge crowd: a precedent that fuels the anticipation for the 2026 edition.
The Misano Adriatico circuit is one of Italy's motorsport temples, hosting international car and motorcycle events. Its location, just minutes from the Riviera beaches between Rimini and Cattolica, makes the GT World Challenge weekend a perfect opportunity to combine sport, music, and a seaside holiday. With the arrival of Elektronfest, the Municipality of Misano Adriatico and the entire Emilia-Romagna region confirm the area's commitment to blending major sporting events with musical culture.
The Italian round of the GT3 championship animates the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from July 17th to 19th, 2026, with practice sessions, qualifying, and the Sprint Cup races. Cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, McLaren, Aston Martin, Audi, and BMW will compete at sunset as well, in one of the most spectacular night races of the season.
