The festival of pop culture, comics, and cartoon theme songs in Grottazzolina
For its first edition, Grotta Fantasy brings to Grottazzolina, a small municipality in the province of Fermo, a day entirely dedicated to the world of comics, animation, cosplay, voice acting, and music. On Sunday, June 7, 2026, Piazza Umberto I and the city center become the meeting point for pop culture enthusiasts of all ages, in a free admission event that combines entertainment, creativity, and nostalgia.
The program intertwines meetings with authors, workshops, and performance moments. Among the announced guests are well-known names from Italian comics and illustration: illustrator Federica Salfo, who has worked for Disney and Marvel, cartoonist Franco Bianco (historic artist for Lupo Alberto and Rat-Man), and animator Corrado Virgili, associated with productions like Winx Club. Also joining them is artist and content creator Dominga Tammone. Illustrators, musicians, voice actors, and authors share anecdotes, professional experiences, and behind-the-scenes insights with the public.
The day culminates with a grand musical celebration dedicated to the theme songs that accompanied entire generations in front of the television. At 10:00 PM, Raggi Fotonici take the stage with Maestro Vince Tempera, author of soundtracks that have become part of the collective imagination, with the show Tra le Sigle Sprinta e Va. There is also space for more recent pop culture influences with a performance by the Huntrix, inspired by the K-Pop phenomenon Demon Hunters.
Grotta Fantasy is born with its own identity but is part of the week of the Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (June 5-8, 2026), Grottazzolina's major festival that fills Piazza Umberto I with music, entertainment, and tradition. On the same day, June 7, the film-concert by Spilimbrass accompanies short films by Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy, in a program that fosters dialogue between pop culture, cinema, and live music in the small Marche town.
The first edition of Grotta Fantasy transforms Piazza Umberto I into a pop culture gathering with workshops, live drawing, meetings with authors and voice actors, cosplay, and animations by students from the Scuola Pupilli. A live broadcast by RadioAnimati with the program Select accompanies the day, culminating in the evening with music from cartoon theme songs.
