Castana's Easter Monday Feast
In Castana, a small municipality in the Oltrepò Pavese area of the province of Pavia, Easter Monday is celebrated with the Grigliatona di Pasquetta. Organized by the Pro Loco Castana with the patronage of the Municipality, the festival takes place at the Parco Feste Comunale La Buca starting at 12:30 PM and is now a well-established tradition for the town.
Grilled Meats and Flavors of Oltrepò
The menu centers on selected grilled meats, accompanied by classic and vegan hamburgers and hot first courses. To complete the meal, local Oltrepò wines and craft beers are served, from a hilly region famous for its reds, from Bonarda to Pinot Noir.
Music, Games, and Fun
The day is filled with music: the afternoon opens with a concert and continues with a DJ set until the evening. For those who love a challenge, there's the beer pong tournament, while recreational games — table football, table tennis, giant chess — and an egg hunt with inflatables entertain families and children. A simple and genuine festival that reflects the convivial spirit of Castana and the hills of Oltrepò Pavese.

The 4th edition of the Grigliatona di Pasquetta enlivens Castana on Monday, April 6, 2026, on Easter Monday, at the Parco Feste Comunale La Buca starting at 12:30 PM.
The Pro Loco Castana, with the patronage of the Municipality, offers selected grilled meats, classic and vegan hamburgers, hot first courses, local wines, and craft beers, on a day filled with music, games, and tournaments.
