50 Shades of Pinot Noir is the autumn event that makes Voghera the showcase for one of the most noble and fascinating grape varieties: Pinot Noir. The city of Oltrepò Pavese, in the province of Pavia, confirms itself as the national capital of Pinot Noir and hosts an event that combines tasting with a widespread program of art, culture, and elegance of taste.
Thousands of tastings
The heart of the event is the tasting counter: in the previous edition, over 9,000 tastings were recorded with 98 labels (48 from Oltrepò Pavese, 20 from other Italian regions, and 11 international). The tasting points are distributed between the Ridotto of the Valentino Garavani Theatre and the shops in the center along Via Emilia, on a route that invites you to discover the different interpretations of the grape variety.
Not just wine
Alongside the tastings, the event offers artistic and cultural initiatives, including the section "50 Shades of Literary Pinot Noir", which blends wine with literature and meetings with authors. Promoted by Focus Oltrepò Pavese with the support of the Municipality of Voghera and the Lombardy Region, the event is one of the most important wine tourism events in the area.

The 2026 edition of 50 Shades of Pinot Noir, the seventh, was officially presented at Vinitaly on April 12, 2026, and takes place in Voghera on October 10 and 11. The event confirms the formula that combines tastings at the tasting counter, distributed between the Ridotto of the Valentino Garavani Theatre and the shops in the center, with a program of artistic and literary initiatives.
