Fifty years of the oratory celebrating

The Mese della Gioventù is one of the most deeply rooted events in the life of Valmadrera, a town in the province of Lecco overlooking Lake Como. Organized by the young people of the oratory with the support of numerous volunteers, it spans the entire late spring, transforming the parish spaces into a meeting place for aggregation and fun open to the whole community.

Sports, music, and conviviality

The program alternates sports tournaments (from soap football to evening tournaments), live concerts, dancing evenings with orchestras and dance schools, moments dedicated to social issues, and plenty of conviviality. The oratory's refreshment area remains open for the entire duration of the event, with a pizza buffet formula on some evenings, animated by volunteer pizza makers.

A sign of the community

Over the decades, the Mese della Gioventù has become much more than a summer festival: it is a concrete sign of the oratory's active presence in the territory of Valmadrera, capable of uniting different generations and involving hundreds of people each year, including young people, families, and volunteers from the Lombardy Region.
