In Lierna, a pearl on the eastern shore of Lake Como in the province of Lecco, the Regata delle Lucie takes place: a competition that celebrates the Lucie, the traditional Larian rowing boats, a symbol of elegance, skill, and passion for the lake. The name itself evokes Alessandro Manzoni's "The Betrothed", deeply linked to this stretch of the Lario.

A regatta that is tradition

The Lucie are historic boats of Lake Como, today preserved and revived by local groups and associations. The Lierna regatta was born thanks to the local Pro Loco, which provided the town with its own "Lucia", realizing an idea that had been launched in the area. The race is among the sporting events officially recognized by the Como and Lecco Committees of the Italian Federation of Fixed-Seat Rowing (FICSF).

Sport and landscape

Attending the Regata delle Lucie means experiencing Lake Como in one of its most authentic expressions: crews rowing in sync, boats gliding on the water, the backdrop of mountains reflected in the lake. It is an event that combines sporting competition with the enhancement of a unique maritime heritage.
