The risotto of Bassa Veronese takes center stage with music and conviviality at Villa Parolin Poggiani
The Gazzo Veronese Risotto Festival is one of the most cherished food and wine festivals in the Bassa Veronese, a land of rice paddies where rice, and particularly Vialone Nano, is part of the territory's identity. The event takes place in the grounds of Villa Parolin Poggiani, in Gazzo Veronese (province of Verona), and revolves entirely around risotto, presented in numerous variations that tell the story and gastronomic culture of the local area.
The food stall opens every evening, offering risotto in its many versions along with typical local wines and traditional desserts. Each evening is enlivened by live music, with dance orchestras and DJ sets that make the festival a convivial and popular event. On Sundays, the stall is also open for lunch.
