Two days of reflection on the future of Italian cuisine and catering
Gastronomika Festival is the event that every spring, at the Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan (via Pier Lombardo 14, Vittoria-Porta Romana district, Municipality of Milan, Lombardy), transforms cuisine into a subject of collective reflection. Promoted by Linkiesta Gastronomika, the festival rejects the simple tasting formula to build an observatory on the future of Italian catering.
The program unfolds over two days with complementary focuses. The first is dedicated to talks with professionals, technicians, and industry operators, led by the director of Linkiesta Gastronomika, Anna Prandoni, and in-depth masterclasses with chefs and trainers. The second is the more operational part, with a hackathon and B2B workshops reserved for young professionals under 40.
The heart of the festival is the idea that food is a total phenomenon, to be observed through different lenses: economics, society, identity, diplomacy. Discussions cover food accessibility, new languages of migrant cuisines, and the political role of gastronomy. A debate involving chefs, economists, and entrepreneurs to imagine the catering industry of tomorrow.
The fifth edition of Gastronomika Festival was held on May 17 and 18, 2026, at the Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan, with the theme "It's Time! Optimism and Reason". Sunday was dedicated to talks with professionals and industry operators, led by Anna Prandoni, director of Linkiesta Gastronomika, and 45-minute masterclasses for training with chefs and technicians.
Monday hosted the hackathon, the most operational part of the festival, with B2B workshops reserved for young professionals under 40. The common thread: emerging from the sector's crisis with optimism and reason, exploring food accessibility, new migrant cuisines, and the political and diplomatic role of gastronomy.
Themes: optimism and reason in the food sector, food accessibility, new languages of migrant cuisines, political and diplomatic role of gastronomy. Full program at eventi.linkiesta.it.
