The Gaggi Carnival is one of the most cherished events in the winter calendar of the town of Gaggi, located in the green heart of the Alcantara Valley, in the province of Messina, just a few kilometers from Taormina. For two evenings, the town center comes alive with color, music, and joy, attracting families, children, and visitors from neighboring towns.

These creations, the result of the work of local artisans and performers, travel through the town streets to gather in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, which is transformed for the occasion into a grand open-air stage.

In recent years, the organization has been managed by the Next Gaggi Association, with the organizational and logistical support of the Gaggi Municipal Administration. Gaggi is a small town of just over three thousand inhabitants, situated at an altitude of about one hundred meters in the heart of the green Alcantara Valley, where waters flow between citrus groves and ancient lava stone villages. Its location, a short distance from Taormina and Giardini Naxos, makes it a natural passage point between the Ionian Sea and the Etna hinterland. It is in this context that the Carnival takes on a special value, as it brings together not only the local population but also visitors from neighboring towns, helping to strengthen local ties.
