The Frühjahrskonzert der Musikkapelle Tschars is the annual spring appointment where the brass band of Ciardes/Tschars opens its concert season. The event takes place in the Josef Maschler-Haus, the village's community hall, attracting locals, families, and brass music lovers from the surrounding area. It is a highly anticipated evening in the cultural calendar of the municipality of Castelbello-Ciardes/Kastelbell-Tschars, one of the villages in the lower Vinschgau Valley (Val Venosta), nestled on the sunny slopes of the Monte Sole between Merano and the Resia Pass.

As in all South Tyrolean villages, the Musikkapelle is much more than just a musical ensemble: it is a pillar of community life, accompanying religious processions, patronal feasts, and local celebrations. The spring concert is the moment when the band presents itself to the public not as a marching band, but on stage, with a concert program refined during the winter months.
