Sparkling wines, music, and guided tours in the medieval village of Serravalle Pistoiese
From Prosecco to Champagne in the Fortress of Dreams is the food and wine event that, for two evenings in June, transforms the medieval village of Serravalle Pistoiese into a stage dedicated to the world of bubbles. Now in its second edition, the festival invites enthusiasts and curious visitors to discover sparkling wines and typical local products in one of the most fascinating settings in the province of Pistoia, at the foot of the Montalbano hills.
The common thread of the event is a sensory journey that starts with Prosecco and reaches Champagne, passing through local gastronomic excellence. Tasting stations are paired with food truck offerings, while lounge music provides the backdrop for an experience designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, glass in hand, within the village walls.
The evenings are marked by music: the first day features a DJ set with selections curated to accompany the aperitif and social atmosphere until late; the second day features a live concert by the Banda dello Zenzero, bringing their energetic and engaging repertoire to the alleys of Serravalle.
One of the most evocative aspects of the event is the opportunity to discover the historical heritage of Serravalle Pistoiese through free guided tours. The route takes visitors to discover the Barbarossa Tower, a symbol of the village that stands over forty meters tall, the former Oratory of the Vergine Assunta, and the Church of San Michele. The tours are an opportunity to learn about the history of this ancient village of towers, strategically located between the Valdinievole and the Pistoia plain.
Serravalle Pistoiese, in Tuscany, is a small town with intact charm, famous for its medieval fortifications, the Rocca Nuova di Castruccio, and the Rocca Vecchia. The event enhances this heritage by combining wine culture, music, and the rediscovery of the historic center in a free-entry event suitable for couples, friends, and food and wine lovers.
The 2026 edition takes place in the medieval village of Serravalle Pistoiese on June 20th and 21st, from 7:00 PM until late.
