Frogstock

An independent festival in the heart of Romagna

Frogstock is one of the longest-running independent music festivals in Romagna. It takes place every year at the end of August at the Riolo Terme River Park (Via Firenze 18/d), in the spa town of the province of Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna. Organized by the cultural association Clips Rag&Rock, the festival has grown since the mid-nineties to become a benchmark for live music in the area, with four consecutive evenings of completely free admission.

A constantly evolving musical showcase

Frogstock defines itself as a showcase and a space for musical research in continuous evolution, capable of crossing and bringing together different genres: from rock to singer-songwriting, from indie to rap, from jazz to more contemporary and experimental sounds. Over the years, the park has hosted emerging artists and established names from the Italian and international scene, always with a curated and high-quality program that prioritizes artistic freedom over commercial appeal.

More than a concert: a community celebration

What makes Frogstock special is its community and authentically independent character. As the organization reminds us, the goal is to transform the River Park into a shared space for culture and community. Alongside the main stage, there are food stalls with local dishes, areas dedicated to children, the Joker Bar, and a double DJ set before and after the live performances for dancing until late at night. Everything is sustained by the commitment of volunteers and the bond with the community of Riolo Terme.

When and where

The event is scheduled for the end of August at the Riolo Terme River Park, easily accessible and immersed in greenery along the Senio river. Admission to all evenings is free, a choice that has always confirmed the festival's popular and accessible vocation in the landscape of summer events in the province of Ravenna and Emilia-Romagna.
