About Forte in Fiore
A weekend of flowers, mountains, and wellness
Forte in Fiore is the spring event that brings the monumental Fort of Vinadio to life. Located in the municipality of Vinadio, in the upper Stura Valley, in the Province of Cuneo (Piedmont), the event began in 2021 as a small botanical market. It has since grown into a truly immersive experience: a flower and plant fair that weaves together nature, sustainable craftsmanship, and mountain traditions within one of Italy's most impressive alpine fortifications.
The Fair
Along the Rivellino and the Porta Francia moat, exhibitors from Piedmont and various Italian regions display their wares: botanical collections, medicinal herbs, flowers, and rare floral varieties sit alongside natural cosmetics, essential oils, beekeeping products, and green design creations. A significant space is also dedicated to local flavors, featuring jams, preserves, mountain honey, traditional sweets, hazelnuts, syrups, and herbal teas, alongside wines, cured meats, and cheeses from the surrounding valleys.
The OFF Program
Alongside the market, every edition offers a rich themed OFF program, designed to help visitors slow down and reconnect with nature. Activities range from orienteering through moats and trails to forest bathing inspired by shinrin-yoku, outdoor pilates, family workshops, and expert talks on environmental care and mountain communities.
The Traditions of Vinadio
The gastronomic heart of the event is the demonstration of how to prepare Crouset, the traditional fresh pasta of Vinadio, hosted by the La Rasdouireto group. Local establishments also offer special menus featuring traditional dishes, completing the experience of culture, nature, and fine dining.

Forte in Fiore 2026 - 6th Edition
The sixth edition was held on Saturday, June 13 (2 PM - 7 PM) and Sunday, June 14, 2026 (9:30 AM - 7 PM) at the Fort of Vinadio, with an edition inspired by the theme of the Mountain, reimagined from a simple market into an immersive experience.
The "CURA" OFF Program
- Saturday 13, 3:00 PM - "Lantern Hunt!", orienteering in the Fort's moat (€5, ages 6+, max 30 people)
- Saturday 13, 4:00 PM - "CURA" talk in the Rivellino with Valeria Tron, Giancarlo Ferron, Dario Castellino, and Mario Piasco, moderated by Erich Giordano (free)
- Saturday 13, 6:00 PM - Inauguration of the "Flowers in the Cannons" oasis, an ecological regeneration project for bees and pollinators (free)
- Sunday 14, 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM - Pilates on hay, a multisensory experience (€5, max 15 people per session)
- Sunday 14, 2:00 PM - Forest Bathing, a guided walk inspired by shinrin-yoku (€15, min 5 / max 20 people)
- Sunday 14, 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM - Family workshop "Travel Diary of a Seed and a Bee", for children aged 6-10 (€5, max 15 participants)
Throughout the weekend, demonstrations of Crouset preparation were held by the La Rasdouireto group, with special menus available in local village restaurants.

How to get there
The Fort of Vinadio is located in Vinadio (CN), in the upper Stura Valley. By car, it can be reached from Cuneo via the SS21 Colle della Maddalena road. The nearest train station is Cuneo, from which you can continue by bus or car along the valley.
Admission and Hours
Admission to the fair is free. Some activities in the OFF program have limited capacity and require a fee, with booking recommended. Hours vary by edition: typically Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.
