About Flower Market

In the park of Aymavilles Castle, a jewel of the Aosta Valley, the Flower Market transforms the gardens into a large exhibition-market of flowers, plants, and green solutions for a weekend in late May. Dozens of regional and national exhibitors offer ornamental, aromatic, and garden plants, while conferences, workshops for children, guided tours of the castle, and 18th-century costume theatre performances enrich the two days. A free-entry spring event that combines nature, culture, and heritage.

Flowers and plants in a castle park

The Flower Market is the floral and nursery exhibition-market that enlivens the park of Aymavilles Castle, one of the most picturesque manors in the Aosta Valley, in the municipality of Aymavilles (province of Aosta). For a weekend in late May, the historic gardens fill with colours and scents with the stands of floral exhibitors.

Exhibitors, conferences, and workshops

The event brings together about forty regional and national exhibitors offering ornamental plants, aromatic essences, garden varieties, and contemporary green solutions. The programme is enriched by thematic conferences – from the hidden power of plants to the relationship between flowers and literature – free workshops for children dedicated to sensory discovery and gardening, and an en plein air watercolour masterclass.

The castle and the costume performances

The setting for the event is Aymavilles Castle, with its four circular towers, which can be visited during the event with regularly scheduled guided tours. To enrich the atmosphere, 18th-century costume theatre performances animate the park, taking visitors back to the era of the counts who inhabited the manor. Promoted by the Region of Aosta Valley together with the Municipality of Aymavilles and Asproflor, the Flower Market is now an anticipated spring event, which combines botany, culture, and the enhancement of Aosta Valley heritage.
