A dinner in the heart of the ancient village

Flavors at Sunset is the annual event that brings the historic village of Massa to life. Located in the heart of the Valdinievole, in the province of Pistoia, the evening comes alive in Piazza Cavour, the main square of the upper town, as the sunset light settles on the stone houses and narrow streets of the historic center. It is here that the community sets up a long open-air table, turning the town square into a grand space for conviviality.

Flavors of the Tuscan tradition

The common thread of the event is the flavors of the territory: a convivial dinner that highlights local cuisine and the hospitality typical of inland Tuscan villages. The format is that of a genuine village festival, where people sit side-by-side to share the pleasure of a meal in good company, far from the daily rush and immersed in the intimate atmosphere of the historic center of Massa.

Live music under the stars

The dinner is always accompanied by live music: in recent editions, the soundtrack for the evening has been provided by the band Gli Apertura Straordinaria, with a repertoire dedicated to 1970s Italian rock. Between courses, the live notes fill the square and extend the festivities late into the evening, offering participants an experience that combines taste, music, and popular tradition.

An event promoted by the Circolo Arci Giusfredi

The event is organized by the Circolo Arci L. V. Giusfredi of Massa, an association deeply rooted in the life of the town, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Massa e Cozzile. To facilitate participation, a shuttle service is provided from the lower part of the municipal area to the historic village, allowing everyone to reach Piazza Cavour without worrying about parking and to fully enjoy the evening.
