About Fiuggi Beer Fest

The Fiuggi Beer Fest is an Italian craft beer celebration held in late August at the Officine della Memoria e dell'Immagine, located in Piazza Martiri di Nassirya, in the heart of Fiuggi. Over three days, visitors can enjoy more than thirty craft beers on tap from independent breweries across Italy, along with street food stalls, DJ sets, and live concerts late into the night. Admission is free, maintaining a friendly, village-festival atmosphere paired with a top-tier national selection of brews.

A craft beer festival in the heart of Fiuggi

The Fiuggi Beer Fest was launched in 2024 to bring an event entirely dedicated to Italian craft beer to the Ciociaria region, moving away from the clichรฉs of imported Oktoberfest-style events. The venue is the Officine della Memoria e dell'Immagine, a repurposed industrial complex overlooking Piazza Martiri di Nassirya, just a short walk from the center of Fiuggi, in the province of Frosinone. This spacious, partially open-air setting becomes the town's premier evening hotspot during the summer.

The event is organized by the Shire Brewing brewery in collaboration with Partenocraft, under the patronage of the Municipality of Fiuggi. These partners, well-versed in the independent brewing scene, built the festival around a simple principle: providing high-quality beer without barriers like entry fees or high prices.

Over thirty beers on tap

The heart of the festival is the bar, featuring more than thirty craft labels on tap selected from Italian microbreweries. Past editions have featured renowned names such as Rebel's, Jungle Juice, Linfa, Birrificio Abruzzese, Bonavena, Birrificio Lambrate, Birra dell'Eremo, Schigibier, Birra Perugia, Kashmir, Mister B, and, of course, Shire Brewing. The selection is intentionally eclectic, ranging from crisp pilsners and lagers to aromatic IPAs, sour beers, stouts, and seasonal brews.

  • Beer is purchased using tokens, available at the entrance cash desk
  • Brewers are present on-site, ready to share the stories behind their creations
  • Street food area with food trucks offering everything from local Lazio specialties to international favorites

Live music and DJ sets until late

Musical programming is the festival's second pillar. Each evening features a mix of DJ sets and live stage performances, with stands opening in the late afternoon and closing in the early hours of the morning. The biggest name to grace the Fiuggi Beer Fest stage is the historic Neapolitan group 99 Posse, who headlined the 2025 edition before a massive crowd. Alongside major concerts, the festival hosts local bands, vinyl selectors, and local DJs, all within a relaxed, informal setting.

Fiuggi, Ciociaria, and slow tourism

Fiuggi is famous throughout Italy for its thermal waters and its medieval old town perched on a hill, known as Fiuggi Cittร . The festival is part of a vibrant summer calendar that blends music, hiking, and gastronomy. Past editions have included guided treks through the chestnut groves surrounding the town and bike rides during the hours before the stands open, perfect for those looking to combine outdoor activity with an evening of celebration.

Visitors arriving from Rome or Frosinone find Fiuggi a convenient base for exploring the province of Frosinone and the heart of Lazio: the Casamari Abbey, Anagni with its cathedral and the Palace of Boniface VIII, the Ernici Mountains, and Lake Canterno are all just a short distance away.

A free event for everyone

Admission to the festival area is free and open to all: you only pay for what you consume. The event is dog-friendly and family-oriented during the early evening hours, when the atmosphere is perfect for a stroll among the stalls. Parking near the Officine is ample, but it is recommended to arrive early during the last weekend of August.
