About Fismi on Tour
The journey into Italian craftsmanship starts here
Fismi on Tour is the travelling project by the Italian Federation for Services for Made in Italy (FISMI), designed to visit about twenty Italian locations over two years and showcase the country's artisan excellence. The first stop takes place at Villa Bossi, a historic residence in Bodio Lomnago, a municipality in the Province of Varese overlooking Lake Varese.
Craftsmanship, tastings, and workshops
For two days, the spaces of Villa Bossi will host regional exhibitors from Lombardy and other Italian regions, with craft demonstrations, workshops for adults and children, and food and wine experiences featuring tastings and artisan producers. Notably, the villa hosts a resident violin-making workshop, already affiliated with FISMI, a perfect symbol of Italian know-how.
Shows and hot air ballooning
The programme is enriched with performances by artists, associations, and local entities. Among the most captivating attractions is the hot air balloon ride on the second day, offering aerial views of the poplar groves and Lake Varese. The event, with free admission, is organised by FISMI with the aim of giving visibility to Italy's inland territories and supporting the federation's artisan businesses.
Fismi on Tour — edition 2026
The first stop of Fismi on Tour occupies the spaces of Villa Bossi for two days. Regional exhibitors, workshops for adults and children, tastings of typical products, a visit to the villa with its violin-making workshop, and performances by artists and local associations. On April 18, Asd Rugby Varese is scheduled to participate, while on April 19, hot air balloon rides over the poplar groves and the lake will take place.
