Fiera di San Zeno

An almost centenary fair

The Fiera di San Zeno, also known as the trade and livestock fair, is the historic event of Bereguardo, in the province of Pavia. Founded in 1926 on the initiative of traders and linked to the feast of the patron saint San Zeno, it is held every first Sunday of October and is one of the most deeply rooted traditional fairs in the Pavese area.

Market and livestock exhibition

The heart of the fair is the large market that fills the town's streets with stalls and exhibitors, alongside the historic livestock exhibition, a testament to the agricultural and peasant roots of the territory. An event that attracts visitors from all over the province.

Palio delle Contrade and Donkey Race

Alongside the market, the fair offers cultural and folkloric events. Among the most anticipated moments are the Palio delle Contrade and the traditional Donkey Race, with local participants and guests. The palio prize is created each year by local artists, highlighting the link between the festival and the creativity of the territory.

Bereguardo and its castle

Bereguardo, famous for its Visconti Castle, an ancient hunting residence, makes the Fiera di San Zeno one of its defining events. Between tradition, folklore, and conviviality, the fair tells the story of a community in the Pavese area and its connection to the land, in the province of Pavia.
