In Noviglio, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan nestled in the Parco Agricolo Sud, the Sagra della Trebbiatura is the event of the year. With over forty years of history – reaching its 43rd edition in 2025 – it is one of the longest-standing village festivals in South Milan, organized by the Pro Loco of Noviglio.
Weeks of celebration with music, taste, and tradition
The event stands out for its unusual duration: not just a weekend, but several weeks in September, with a calendar featuring concerts, DJ sets, dance evenings, comedy and magic shows, traditional games, tournaments, and convivial moments like the communal risotto. The common thread remains the agricultural world and the threshing, an ancient gesture of the Lombard countryside, accompanied by the tasting of local typical products.
An event for the whole community
From Piazza XI Settembre to the Borgo Verdirolo and its hamlets like Tainate, the festival involves the entire town and attracts visitors from neighboring municipalities. Admission is free, and the program is designed to engage adults and children, balancing rural heritage with contemporary popular celebration.
