The patronal festival of Dorno

The Sagra di Sant'Anna is the patronal festival of Dorno, a municipality in Lomellina in the province of Pavia, dedicated to Saint Anne, celebrated on July 26th. Organized by the Municipality together with the Pro Loco of Dorno and numerous local entities — from Civil Protection to the Confraternita della Porchetta, from the parishes to the Gruppo Alpini — it is the most cherished summer event in the village, capable of enlivening the squares for several evenings.

Music, gastronomy, and funfair

Every evening the festival offers music and good food at the stalls set up in the centre, in a festive atmosphere that attracts residents and visitors from neighbouring municipalities. The funfair, an attraction loved by children and families, is located in Piazza Aldo Moro, while a charity stall is open in the evenings at the church of San Rocco. Tradition and solidarity thus coexist in the heart of the festival.

A community festival in Lomellina

More than just a simple festival, the Sant'Anna festival is an event of identity for Dorno and for Lomellina, a land of rice paddies and ancient traditions. The Pro Loco, which also organizes the famous Pumpkin Festival linked to the De.C.O. «Bertagnina» product, carefully curates each edition, involving the village associations. Amidst local flavours, music, and entertainment, the Sagra di Sant'Anna renews the community's bond with its roots every summer.
