When autumn arrives, Motta Visconti — a Municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan within the Ticino Park — becomes the Lombard capital of porcini mushrooms. The Sagra del Fungo Porcino, reaching its 49th edition in 2026, is one of the most anticipated and long-standing gastronomic events in the region, capable of attracting thousands of visitors from Milan and the entire region.
A tasting trail in the historic center
The heart of the festival is the historic center, with Via Borgomaneri as its backbone: commercial activities and refreshment points offer an entire gastronomic proposal themed around porcini mushrooms — risotto dishes, crepes, plates, themed aperitifs — served during lunches, dinners, and tastings. The town dresses up for the occasion with its characteristic courtyards and charming views, while shops remain open in the evening for public strolls.
Not just gastronomy
Alongside porcini mushrooms, the program offers outdoor music, parades, book presentations, and recreational activities that involve the entire village. The 2025 edition, the 48th, opened on Saturday with a large risotto event in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci and continued on Sunday with stands of local typical products.
Organized by the Municipality of Motta Visconti with the support of Confcommercio Abbiategrasso and local entities, the Sagra del Fungo Porcino is now an unmissable event for lovers of good food and a source of pride for the town in the Ticino Park.
Sagra del Fungo Porcino — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Sagra del Fungo Porcino is the 49th in its history. The historic center of Motta Visconti, with Via Borgomaneri and Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, hosts for an entire weekend the extensive gastronomic offering dedicated to porcini mushrooms: risotto dishes, crepes, themed plates, and aperitifs, with shops open in the evening, outdoor music, parades, and book presentations. The dates and detailed program are confirmed by the Municipality and Confcommercio Abbiategrasso in the weeks prior.

Saturday
- 7:00 PM — Grand risotto event in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci
- Gastronomic stands with porcini theme along Via Borgomaneri and in the historic center

- Stands of local typical products and porcini-themed offerings
- Parades, book presentations, recreational activities in the courtyards of the center
