The Fiera d'Agosto of San Giacomo delle Segnate
The Fiera d'Agosto is the grand patronal festival of San Giacomo delle Segnate, a municipality in the province of Mantua in the Oltrepò Mantovano area. It takes place in mid-August in honour of the patron saint Saint James the Apostle (whose liturgical feast day is 25th July) and is organised by Pro Loco Segnate with the patronage of the municipal administration.
A week of festivities
The festival enlivens the town for several days with a rich programme: the funfair, the entertainment area in the church square, tournaments, charity raffles, and numerous initiatives. The food stall is open every evening with traditional Mantuan dishes and quality cuisine.
Tortelli, race, and fireworks
Among the most anticipated events are the Night Run, the night walk, evenings dedicated to pumpkin tortelli, live music, and the fireworks that beautifully conclude the festival. The Fiera d'Agosto is the main event of the summer in San Giacomo and a landmark for the entire Oltrepò Mantovano region.
Fiera d'Agosto — edition 2026
For 2026 too, Pro Loco Segnate is bringing back the Fiera d'Agosto in August in honour of Saint James in San Giacomo delle Segnate (MN). The patronal festival format is confirmed: funfair, entertainment area, Night Run, food stalls with traditional dishes, evenings dedicated to pumpkin tortelli, live music, and fireworks.
