The patronal festival of Trevenzuolo, between art, culture, and tradition
In Trevenzuolo, a town in the plains of the province of Verona, the Sagra di Santa Maria Maddalena celebrates the town's patron saint (liturgical feast day on July 22nd) with a week of events in the parish park. The event is organized by the TREVENT association, which has profoundly renewed the festival in recent years.
Alongside the classic elements of every Venetian festival โ the food and wine stand, live music, and evening shows โ the Trevenzuolo festival stands out for its artistic dimension. Recurring activities include: street painters (madonnari) creating large-scale works, bell ringers (campanari), exhibitions, artistic experiences, free creative workshops (from cyanotype to clay modeling), and the Premio Trevent.
The festival's cuisine features traditional Veronese dishes, such as the famous maccheroni col musso (pasta with donkey ragรน), a typical specialty of the Bassa Veronese, alongside other great classics from village festival stands.
Seven days of food and wine, shows, music, art, and performances make the Sagra di Santa Maria Maddalena one of the most anticipated summer events in Trevenzuolo, successfully blending patronal devotion with contemporary creativity in a festive atmosphere for all ages.
The 2026 edition of the Sagra di Santa Maria Maddalena is scheduled in Trevenzuolo from July 15 to 21 in the parish park. A week of celebration for the patron saint, featuring a food and wine stand, artistic and cultural activities, street painters (madonnari), bell ringers (campanari), exhibitions, and evening shows, under the direction of the TREVENT association.
