The Bigoli al Torchio of Polesine
The Festa dal Bigul al Torch is the sagra that, every end of August, celebrates bigoli al torchio in Ceneselli, a municipality in upper Polesine in the province of Rovigo: a traditional long and rough pasta, handmade with the characteristic wooden press (the bigolaro) which gives the dish its dialectal name.
Many Variations on the Table
The heart of the festival is the food stand of the Pro Loco Ceneselli, which offers bigoli in numerous variations: with sardines, with duck ragù, with sausage, with donkey meat sauce, and many other local specialties. A journey into the flavors of peasant cuisine from Polesine, simple and generous.
Music and Village Festival
The event takes place in the green area of the sports facilities on Viale Rimembranza and features live music with an orchestra and entertainment for children every evening. A heartfelt and well-attended village sagra, which for almost twenty years has attracted food lovers and families from all over Polesine and the surrounding provinces.

The 2026 edition of the Festa dal Bigul al Torch is scheduled for the end of August in Ceneselli, in the green area of the sports facilities. Ceneselli is located in upper Polesine, in the province of Rovigo, on the border with Verona and Mantua. By car: SS434 Transpolesana or A22 Nogarole Rocca exit, then head towards Castelmassa–Ceneselli.
