San Lorenzo, Patron Saint of Quingentole

Quingentole is a small municipality in the province of Mantua, in the Oltrepò Mantovano area, overlooking the course of the Po River. Its patron saint is Saint Lawrence, deacon and martyr, to whom the parish church is dedicated, a valuable Baroque building constructed between 1751 and 1754. The patronal festival is celebrated around August 10th, the liturgical feast day of the saint, and traditionally extends until August 13th.

The August Patronal Festival

During the festival days, the town gathers around the figure of the patron saint, with religious celebrations in the church of San Lorenzo Martire and moments of conviviality that animate the town centre.
