An evening of flavors from Italy and the world in Borgo Ticino

The Festival of Regions and Nations is one of the most cherished events in Borgo Ticino, a small town in the Province of Novara, in lower Piedmont, just a stone's throw from Lake Maggiore. Organized by the Pro Loco of Borgo Ticino, the festival transforms the village Oratory for one night into a large communal table where culinary traditions from across the peninsula and many countries around the world meet.
The heart of the festival is the direct participation of Borgo Ticino's families: each brings recipes from their own heritage to the table, creating a journey that spans Italian regions and the foreign nations represented within the community. It is a celebration that tells the story of internal and international migration in the area, where flavors become a way to get to know one another and spend time together.
The evening combines fine dining with entertainment. It begins with a traditional Piedmontese aperitif, followed by the serving of dishes: first courses, then main courses, and finally desserts. The dinner is accompanied by live music, performances, and cultural moments that, in past editions, have ranged from evergreen songs to opera, cabaret to readings in Piedmontese and Calabrian dialects, and even photographic exhibitions dedicated to the town's history.
With its many years of history, the Festival of Regions and Nations is now a consolidated tradition in the Novara summer calendar. It is an event designed for families and open to all, where the Province of Novara and the entire Piedmont region celebrate the meeting of different cultures through what unites them most: the pleasure of a good shared meal.
The 25th edition of the Festival of Regions and Nations marks an important milestone for Borgo Ticino and its Pro Loco. For 2026, the event confirms its beloved formula: an evening at the village Oratory dedicated to the flavors of Italian regions and foreign nations, prepared by local families, with an opening aperitif, the serving of dishes, and musical entertainment.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced by the Pro Loco of Borgo Ticino on official channels in the weeks leading up to the event. It is recommended to check the updated date and times on the website prolocoborgoticino.it.
