About Culture Festival

The Festival of Culture and Emotions is a widespread event that brings Borgo Valsugana, in the heart of Trentino, to life for nearly a month with author meetings, concerts, film screenings, theatrical performances, exhibitions, and workshops for children and families. Organized by the Municipal Library and the Municipality, the event transforms the town's squares, churches, cloisters, and halls into spaces of shared culture, with a program designed for all generations.

A month of widespread culture in the heart of Valsugana

The Festival of Culture and Emotions is the most anticipated cultural event in Borgo Valsugana, in the province of Trento, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. Created to enhance the local cultural heritage, the festival has established itself over the years as a widespread event that, for about a month between spring and early summer, offers dozens of free or low-cost events throughout the town.

Organized by the Municipal Library and the Municipality of Borgo Valsugana, with the support of the Pro Loco and the APT Valsugana Lagorai, the event weaves together different genres and languages: music, theater, cinema, literature, local history, and activities for children.

A program for all ages

The calendar alternates between entertainment and opportunities for in-depth exploration. Each edition offers:

  • Meetings with authors and book presentations in the setting of the library and the town's historic halls;
  • Concerts by ensembles, choirs, and local music school groups, hosted in churches, cloisters, and auditoriums;
  • Film screenings, including outdoor ones, often accompanied by the directors;
  • Theatrical performances and musicals designed for children and families;
  • Exhibitions and special museum openings, such as the Night of Museums;
  • Workshops and animated readings for children, curated by the Municipal Library.

A bond with history and the territory

Alongside the performances, the Festival dedicates ample space to the historical memory of Valsugana, a land marked by the events of the Great War and the twentieth century: conferences, documentary exhibitions, and testimonies recount the evacuation of the town, migrations, and the daily life of mountain communities. A common thread that makes the festival not just a calendar of events, but also an opportunity to rediscover local identity.

Spread across the Town Hall Cloister, the churches of Sant'Antonio and Sant'Anna, the Peace Park, the Teatro di Olle, Casa Andriollo, and the library halls, the Festival of Culture and Emotions is an invitation to experience Borgo Valsugana with the curious gaze of those seeking authentic emotions.

Culture Festival — edition 2026

The 17th edition of the Festival of Culture and Emotions took place in Borgo Valsugana from May 16 to June 14, 2026: nearly a month of concerts, meetings, cinema, theater, exhibitions, and workshops for all ages, held in churches, cloisters, and the town's halls.
