A month of cultural events for all ages in Borgo Valsugana
The Festival of Culture and Emotions is the most anticipated cultural event in Borgo Valsugana, in the province of Trento, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. Created to enhance the local cultural heritage, the festival has established itself over the years as a widespread event that, for about a month between spring and early summer, offers dozens of free or low-cost events throughout the town.
Organized by the Municipal Library and the Municipality of Borgo Valsugana, with the support of the Pro Loco and the APT Valsugana Lagorai, the event weaves together different genres and languages: music, theater, cinema, literature, local history, and activities for children.
The calendar alternates between entertainment and opportunities for in-depth exploration. Each edition offers:
Alongside the performances, the Festival dedicates ample space to the historical memory of Valsugana, a land marked by the events of the Great War and the twentieth century: conferences, documentary exhibitions, and testimonies recount the evacuation of the town, migrations, and the daily life of mountain communities. A common thread that makes the festival not just a calendar of events, but also an opportunity to rediscover local identity.
Spread across the Town Hall Cloister, the churches of Sant'Antonio and Sant'Anna, the Peace Park, the Teatro di Olle, Casa Andriollo, and the library halls, the Festival of Culture and Emotions is an invitation to experience Borgo Valsugana with the curious gaze of those seeking authentic emotions.
The seventeenth edition enlivened Borgo Valsugana from May 16 to June 14, 2026, with a program spanning music, theater, cinema, and historical memory. Among the main events:
The event, organized by the Municipal Library and the Municipality of Borgo Valsugana with Pro Loco and APT Valsugana Lagorai, confirmed its vocation as a widespread and intergenerational festival.
Borgo Valsugana can be reached by car via the SS47 Valsugana road, which connects Trento to Bassano del Grappa. By train, the town is served by the Trento-Venice railway line (Borgo Valsugana Est and Borgo Valsugana Centro stations).
Most events have free admission or a symbolic price; some family shows require a ticket (approximately 8-12 euros).
