Classical music in Albenga's secret lounge

In the heart of the historic centre of Albenga (Province of Savona) lies one of the most beloved corners by the locals: Piazza dei Leoni, small and intimate, home to three stone lions of Roman origin. It is here that every late August, Concertando tra i Leoni takes place, a classical music festival that takes advantage of the extraordinary acoustics and intimate atmosphere of this place.

Four evenings under the stars

The festival offers four evenings of concerts, organised by the Albenga section of the UCAI (Unione Cattolica Artisti Italiani - Catholic Union of Italian Artists) under the artistic direction of Giovanni Sardo. The classical repertoire finds an ideal setting in the medieval square, in a dialogue between music and historical architecture that marks the event.

An event of the Ingauna summer

Included in the summer calendar of the Municipality of Albenga, Concertando tra i Leoni represents the moment dedicated to cultured music in the city's rich programme, alongside the Palio Storico, Albenga d'Autore, and the Albenga Jazz Festival. A proposal that enhances a hidden and precious place in the historic centre of the Riviera di Ponente.
