Jazz tells its story among the towers of Albenga

Every late August, the historic centre of Albenga (Province of Savona), with its famous medieval towers, becomes the stage for the Albenga Jazz Festival, which in 2026 will reach its thirteenth edition. Organised by the association Le Rapalline in Jazz APS, the festival distributes concerts and meetings in various locations around the city, creating a four-day spread-out event.

An event that lives from dawn till night

The typical festival day begins in the morning with book presentations at the Mondadori bookshop dedicated to jazz personalities, continues in the afternoon in Piazza San Domenico and the Chiostri Ester Siccardi — also featuring swing dance moments — and culminates in the evening in the scenic Piazza San Michele, at the foot of the cathedral, with the main concerts.

Music, culture, and territory

The programme alternates Italian ensembles and international guests, ranging from traditional jazz to swing contaminations. With its formula combining concerts, literary presentations, and dancing, the Albenga Jazz Festival has become one of the most anticipated cultural events of the Albenga summer, capable of enhancing the most beautiful spots in the historic centre of the city on the Riviera di Ponente.
