The Menaggio Guitar Festival: music and Lake Como

Every summer, the Municipality of Menaggio and the adjacent Tremezzina, on the western shore of Lake Como in the Province of Como, become the international capital of the guitar. The Festival Internazionale della Chitarra di Menaggio e Lago di Como brings together guitarists from all over the world, offering a program that spans different musical genres and cultures.

The strength of the festival lies in its variety: performers alternate on stage playing:

Concerts in enchanting locations

The concerts take place in some of the most evocative locations in the area: historic villas, churches, and gardens overlooking the lake. The program alternates afternoon musical aperitifs with evening performances, in a format that combines listening to great music with the beauty of the Larian landscape.

Onde Trasversali and artistic direction

The festival is organized by the Onde Trasversali Cultural Association, with the support of the Municipalities of Menaggio and Tremezzina, and is directed by guitarist and composer Sergio Fabian Lavia. Most concerts have free admission, a choice that makes the event accessible to everyone and has made it, over the years, an eagerly awaited event for music lovers and visitors to Lake Como.
