FestAVIS, the solidarity festival of Pontecurone
In the town of Pontecurone, in the province of Alessandria, FestAVIS is much more than a local fair: it is the grand celebration that the local AVIS (Italian Blood Volunteers Association) section dedicates to its community every year. The subtitle says it all: "Dining with the AVIS chefs." For five consecutive evenings, the historic Palazzo Bertarelli at Via Emilia 141 turns into a welcoming and delicious open-air dining hall, open to all residents and visitors passing through Lower Piedmont.
Food, music, and entertainment
The formula is simple and successful: good food meets music and entertainment, with a program designed to keep you tapping your feet between courses. In the kitchen, AVIS volunteers serve up local flavors, while the Chiringuito cocktail bar keeps the evenings lively. Each night features its own musical highlight, ranging from live bands and DJ sets to entertainment for all ages.
A festival that does good
The true heart of FestAVIS is solidarity: the event is how the AVIS of Pontecurone raises awareness, collects funds for its activities, and educates the community on the importance of blood donation. Participating in the festival means combining the pleasure of a good dinner in great company with a concrete gesture of support for blood donors.
When and where
FestAVIS takes place between late May and early June at Palazzo Bertarelli, Via Emilia 141 in Pontecurone (Province of Alessandria, Piedmont). Admission is completely free and open to everyone, though booking is highly recommended to secure your table.

FestAVIS 2026 ha trasformato per cinque sere il Palazzo Bertarelli di Pontecurone in una grande tavolata a cielo aperto. Tra una portata e l'altra preparata dai cuochi dell'AVIS, si sono alternati concerti, band e DJ set, con il Chiringuito dei cocktail a fare da cornice. Una formula collaudata che unisce gastronomia, divertimento e raccolta fondi per la sezione locale dei donatori.

How to get there
Pontecurone is located along the Via Emilia, just a few kilometers from Tortona and Voghera, and is easily accessible from the Tortona motorway exit (A21/A7). There is a local train station on the Alessandria-Voghera line.
