Lorenzago celebrates its patron saints in the heart of Cadore
The Patronal Festival of Saints Ermagora and Fortunato is the occasion that enlivens Lorenzago di Cadore, in the province of Belluno, every July 12th. The saints Ermagora and Fortunato of Aquileia, martyrs of the Aquileian tradition, are the patrons of the village and give their name to the parish church located in Piazza Calvi.
The festival revolves around the religious celebrations in the Parish Church of Saints Ermagora and Fortunato, the central moment of the day, complemented by opportunities for meeting and conviviality for the entire community. It is one of the most heartfelt events of the year for Lorenzago, capable of attracting residents and holidaymakers alike.
Nestled among the Dolomites, Lorenzago experiences its patronal festival as a moment of identity and rootedness in tradition. The connection with the Aquileian saints testifies to the deep religious history of Cadore and the Belluno area.
For 2026, the Patronal Festival of Saints Ermagora and Fortunato falls on Sunday, July 12th, the day dedicated to Lorenzago's patrons. Celebrations will centre around the Parish Church in Piazza Calvi, complemented by community gatherings.
The detailed programme for the day—including Mass times and any procession—will be announced by the Municipality and the Parish a few days before the festival. The event is free and open to all citizens.
