About Sagra de San Lugan

The Sagra de San Lugan is the traditional summer festival of Villapiccola, a hamlet of Auronzo di Cadore, in the Belluno Dolomites. In Piazzale Osterra, for over seventy years, the community has gathered for typical dishes, music, traditional games, and children's entertainment. A genuine village festival, built on volunteerism and conviviality, which brings the flavours and traditions of Ladin and Dolomitic culture to the Cadore mountains.

The historic festival of Villapiccola

The Sagra de San Lugan is one of the most deeply rooted traditional festivals in Auronzo di Cadore, in the province of Belluno. It takes place in Villapiccola, in Piazzale Osterra, and boasts a history of over seventy years, a sign of the deep bond between the community and this summer event.

Between flavours and tradition

The festival offers typical dishes of Cadore cuisine, served in the food stalls managed by Pro Loco volunteers. Alongside good food, the programme includes music, evening concerts, entertainment for children, and traditional games of the past, which keep the memory of local customs alive.

A community festival

Organised by Pro Loco Auronzo di Cadore APS, the Sagra de San Lugan is an authentically popular festival, built on volunteerism and the participation of the village. For visitors, it is an opportunity to experience the genuine atmosphere of a mountain festival in the Municipality of Auronzo di Cadore, away from the large tourist crowds and immersed in Dolomitic culture.
