Quarto Oggiaro tells its story at Villa Scheibler

The Festa delle Associazioni — La Pace Colora Quarto is one of the most cherished events in the Quarto Oggiaro neighbourhood, in Milan's 8th Municipality. It takes place in the park of Villa Scheibler, at via Felice Orsini 21, a historic residence with a park that represents one of the green lungs and identity landmarks of the neighbourhood. Now in its twelfth edition, the festival is coordinated by the Associazione Vill@perta with the involvement of numerous local organisations.

A Day of Culture, Sport, and Music

The festival opens in the morning with the presentation Inside Quarto, the city they don't tell you about, curated by the Fondazione Perini with projects by students from the Liceo Artistico Boccioni, followed by a guided tour of the villa. The afternoon is dedicated to families and young people: workshops, face painting, archery, basketball, twirling performances by ASD Twirling Milano, and kickboxing demonstrations. The day concludes in the evening with a piano concert by Il Giardino della Musica.

The Neighbourhood's Solidarity Network

More than just a simple festival, the event is a showcase of Quarto Oggiaro's associative fabric: alongside Vill@perta, organisations like Fondazione Dar, Il Mantello, Futura, Amici della Mente, and many others participate. It's an opportunity to highlight the daily work of volunteering, culture, and sport that animates the neighbourhood, in a spirit of peace and cohesion already evoked by the event's name.

A Different Perspective on Quarto Oggiaro

The festival also aims to offer an alternative narrative of a neighbourhood often portrayed only through stereotypes. Among the flowerbeds and paths of Villa Scheibler's park, La Pace Colora Quarto reveals the real Quarto Oggiaro: that of associations, schools, families, and young people who, one day a year, take over the neighbourhood's green spaces and fill them with initiatives.
