About San Siro Street Festival

The San Siro Street Festival is a popular, solidarity, and free festival that enlivens Piazzale Selinunte for several days in the San Siro district of Milan (Municipality 7). Organized and self-financed by the San Siro Residents' Committee, it offers concerts, open-air cinema, poetry slams, debates, sports, activities for children, and food stalls. A self-managed street party, born from the district's struggles for the right to housing and against decay.

A street festival born from the neighbourhood

In the working-class district of San Siro, Milan (Municipality 7), the San Siro Street Festival transforms Piazzale Selinunte into a space for celebration and meeting for several days. The event is organized by the San Siro Residents' Committee, an organization active for years on the right to housing and the defence of the neighbourhood from decay and abandonment.

Concerts, cinema, sports, and debates

The programme is deliberately multidisciplinary and popular: concerts and musical evenings (from hip hop to classical music), open-air cinema, poetry slams with stages valid for the Italian championship, public debates, sports tournaments and activities, workshops for children, and community barbecues. Food stalls accompany the evenings, in a street party atmosphere accessible to all.

Self-management and free entry

The distinctive feature of the festival is self-management: like all the Committee's activities, the event is self-financed and all initiatives are free to enter. More than a programme of shows, the San Siro Street Festival is the expression of a neighbourhood community telling its story, in one of the most densely populated and multicultural corners of the Metropolitan City of Milan.

San Siro Street Festival — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the San Siro Street Festival is expected in July at Piazzale Selinunte, following the numerous editions that the San Siro Residents' Committee organizes every year. Precise dates and programme will be announced in the weeks prior.

The San Siro Street Festival returns in 2026 to liven up Piazzale Selinunte. The event, now in its numerous editions, is confirmed in the calendar of Municipality 7 of Milan and will offer the usual formula of a popular, solidarity, and free festival organized by the San Siro Residents' Committee.
