The pond becomes a stage

Every year, in June, the pond on Via Europa in San Donato Milanese transforms and becomes the centre of the city's summer. This is where Riflessi Festival comes to life, the municipal event that for about ten days combines music, culture, sport, and socialising in a natural setting unusual for the Milanese hinterland. Events take place from morning to evening on weekends, and from 6:30 PM onwards on other days.

Two souls: music and talks

The festival is built on two pillars. The first is live music: every evening the pond hosts selected artists ranging from jazz to swing, from indie to alternative pop, with special evenings like Flux Fest and a stop on the international tour of Cosimo and the Hot Coals. The second, more recent pillar, is in-depth talks: experts and journalists guide the audience in reflections on current issues, from geopolitics to the environment, from climate to the great stories of the 20th century.

Sport, exhibitions, and socialising

On weekends, the programme expands to include initiatives from city associations: sports tournaments, art exhibitions, charity picnics, and the evocative sound bike ride that crosses the city to the rhythm of music. This is the participatory dimension of the festival, which involves the associative fabric of San Donato and makes it a choral event, not just a concert series.

Eating and drinking by the water

To complete the experience, there's Il Pontile, the refreshment area overlooking the pond, open for the entire duration of the event. Between concerts and talks, you can stop to eat and drink with a view of the water, in one of the most relaxing settings in the province of Milan. Riflessi Festival, organised by the Municipality of San Donato Milanese, is a young event but already capable of giving the city a recognisable and unique summer appointment.
