The sagra (traditional festival) of Chiampo's typical sausage with yellow turnip
In Chiampo, in the province of Vicenza, November is the month of the Festa della Cincionela co' la Rava, the sagra (traditional festival) dedicated to the cincionela, the town's typical sausage recognised as a De.Co. product (Denominazione Comunale - Municipal Designation), traditionally served with yellow turnip. The event takes place in Piazza G. Fontana, in front of the Vocational Training Centre.
The festival is promoted by the Municipality of Chiampo together with the Pro Loco Chiampo and focuses on an identity product of the valley: the cincionela, an expression of the local charcuterie tradition. The food stand offers the sausage with turnip and other local dishes, in an atmosphere of popular celebration.
Alongside the food, the programme alternates evenings with DJs and dance music with the characteristic contrà dances on Sunday afternoons, recalling the tradition of Vicenza's village festivals. An event that combines flavours, conviviality, and cultural roots of the Chiampo community.
The Festa della Cincionela co' la Rava returns to Chiampo in November 2026 in Piazza G. Fontana, with the De.Co. cincionela served with turnip, music, and contrà dances.
The exact dates and detailed programme for the 2026 edition will be announced by the Municipality of Chiampo and the Pro Loco closer to the event.
Chiampo is located in the valley of the same name, in the province of Vicenza, reachable by car from the SP31 from the Montecchio Maggiore (A4) motorway exit.
